Golden Gate Park
An absolute gem of the city! Rent bikes near the corner of Stanyan and Haight Streets, or simply take a stroll through the park down JFK Drive. Some of our favorite spots include the Conservatory of Flowers, the Rose Garden, and the De Young Museum. If you take JFK Drive all the way to the iconic windmills, you might catch a glimpse of the park's famous buffalo residents as well!
Fisherman's Wharf and Ghirardelli Square
A classic San Francisco destination on the waterfront. While touristy, it’s fun for first-time visitors who want a quintessential city experience. Walk to Pier 39 to see the sea lions, grab a sourdough bread bowl from Boudin Bakery, or wander a bit further to Ghirardelli Square for a taste of San Francisco's famous chocolatier.
The Ferry Building
A historic landmark along the Embarcadero and a food lover's paradise. Lunette (Cambodian), Cholita Linda (Latin American), and Hog Island Oyster Co (Oyster Bar) are some favorites. It's the perfect spot to grab lunch and enjoy views of the Bay Bridge.
Crissy Field and Palace of Fine Arts
Take a stroll down this expansive waterfront park in the Presidio that offers some of the most iconic views of the Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz. The Palace of Fine Arts is close by and another classic historic site with a spectacular Greco-Roman style rotunda and colonnade.
The Mission District
While most of our festivities will be taking place in the north end of the city, we would be remiss not to recommend a visit to the Mission District. It's one of the city's sunniest and most vibrant neighborhoods, rich in culture, incredible food, and colorful street art. Grab a "Mission-style" burrito from La Taqueria, or take in the skyline and superb people watching from Dolores Park.
Wine Tasting
If you're extending your stay and want to explore beyond the city, Napa and Sonoma make for a spectacular day trip! Some favorite spots include Ashes & Diamonds, Scribe, and Hamel Family Wines. Know before you go: Wine country is a 60-90 minute drive from San Francisco. Rideshares can get pricey and cell service in the vineyards can be spotty, we highly recommend renting a car or booking a car service for the day. Please plan your trip safely, and keep in mind that almost all wineries require reservations in advance and charge a per-person tasting fee.
